dc.description.abstractIn this work, we first have proposed a technique to identify failure in point-based and interval-based temporal constraint reasoning. Then, while many past literature would stop searching once inconsistency is found, we pushed further the possibilities of resolving such failures by proposing some algorithms to restore consistency for both, point and interval algebras. In order to prove the correctness and efficiency of these algorithms, we developed a set of theorems and properties focusing on this particular aspect of Temporal Constraint Reasoning.en_US
